(remarks and questions to Karsten
Eggert)
The detection efficiency per track is better than 98 %. The lowest detectable transverse momentum is less than 50 MeV.
detectable range: (p beam - p diffr.)/p beam = to(p beam - p diffr.)/(p beam - p diffr.) = 10%
t - range: - 20
energy resolution : E/E=0.005 0.08/ (E in GeV)The scenario in the range 2 is not yet defined; assume as above for the moment. For small angles the calorimeter is subdivided in squares of R = 0.1R and s = 0.1R, i.e. 64 subdivisions in .granularity : =
energy threshold : E thr = 0.2 GeV
Identification possible by comparison of momentum measurement in the spectrometer and energy measurement in the electromagnetic calorimeter.
Identification possible for transverse momenta above 2 GeV.
